Hi Betty,
Greetings from a fellow Hoosier! Escaping to sunny Florida and "The Most Magical Place on Earth" in the middle of winter
definitely sounds like a FANTASTIC idea! Plus, with the
Epcot International Festival of the Arts going on, and all of the delicious dining and exciting entertainment that comes along with that, you'll be able to soak up SO MUCH magic and fun!
Since you have the
Disney Dining Plan, that must mean that you're staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, and I'm happy to let you know that one of the
perks you'll enjoy for staying on-site is the ability to make
dining reservations for the entire length of your trip, up to 10 days, at that 180-day point. From dining with beloved characters to enjoying fun dinner shows to finding a cuisine to please any palate, there are so many
fantastic options to choose from, so I'm sending some pixie dust that you find the
perfect dining reservations for your visit!
One tip I have for you...since Disney releases park hours 180 days in advance, it can be tricky to choose where you'd like to dine each day when you're not sure which theme park you'll be visiting. Touringplans.com releases park hours 190 days in advance and estimates them even further out than that. While we can't be completely sure they're accurate until Disney releases hours and we can confirm, it's a great place to start. I'd suggest going ahead and making all of your selections when your planning window opens 180 days before you arrive, then watching the
official calendar and making any changes if necessary as official hours are released.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Betty, and please feel free to come see us again if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
Missy
