Hi. We are planning a trip to WDW for my husband's birthday, which is New Year's Eve. What resort is going to have best/quickest access to Star Wars Land (I'm sure new hotel won't be open yet). Thanks.

    Greetings Lynda,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to celebrate your husband's birthday at "The Most Magical Place on Earth" on New Year's Eve! I've always found Walt Disney World Resort to be the perfect vacation destination for a birthday celebration.

For quick and easy access to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which will be located inside Disney's Hollywood Studios, consider staying at Disney's BoardWalk Inn. This popular Deluxe Resort is a short walk or boat ride away from Disney's Hollywood Studios and features fun theming reminiscent of turn-of-the-century Atlantic City. I've stayed at Disney's BoardWalk Inn several times in the past and love the excitement and nighttime entertainment found along Disney's BoardWalk, great dining options and being able to easily walk to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. You may also want to consider staying at one of the other Epcot Area Resorts, which includes Disney's Beach Club ResortDisney's Yacht Club ResortWalt Disney World Dolphin Hotel or Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. Although I have personally stayed at all five of the Epcot Area Resorts and thoroughly enjoyed my experience at each, my top pick for an adult's birthday trip on New Year's Eve would be Disney's BoardWalk Inn.

I hope this information is helpful in making your decision, Lynda. Let us know if you have any new questions. Best wishes for a magical birthday trip!

    Happy Celebrating,
    Jodie
