Planning my 4th trip to WDW! First went 15 years ago! I'm looking for some good planning books. I have always puchased the Birnbaums book in the past, but never the unoffocial guide. Which do you recommend, or are both great? Others great guide books?

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World is my favorite Disney guidebook. I find it an indispensable tool when planning my own family vacations. The 2009 edition of the UG came out about a week ago. Be sure if you purchase one that you get this new version. There are also several other good accompaniments to the Unofficial Guide. You can read my suggestions HERE. Bret came to some similar conclusions HERE

There are, of course, hundreds of books about Walt Disney World, Walt the man, the Disney films, and so on. These books range from fun travel guide accompaniments to dense academic tomes. You could easily make an entire career out of studying the fruits of Walt Disney's imagination (and many have). I have about 50 Disney-related volumes in my personal collection. I list many of them HERE
