Planning a trip to WDW for the end of May and I want to know if I can make a breakfast reservations for a character meal for myself and my two children and my parents. My parents are getting their tickets separate. How does that work?

Hey, Kathryn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for stopping by with your question. I am so glad to see you are planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit. It sounds like you have quite a grand visit planned! Some of my daughters' favorite Disney memories have been made when their grandparents joined us on our vacations.

Character meals are a great pixie-dusted addition to your plans. Not only do you get to sit down and have a delicious meal with your family, but you are able to also spend time with a few of your favorite Disney friends. There are some great character meals found within the theme parks and there are even a few found at Disney Resort Hotels. These are very popular, so I do encourage you to make a dining reservation for your choice of character meal as soon as you are able. Dining reservations open 180 days in advance and I always encourage friends to make their reservations sooner rather than later. These can be made online or via the My Disney Experience mobile app. When you make your reservation, you will not need to provide proof of Disney Theme Park Ticket purchase for any guest in your party. You will only need to enter the number of total guests in your party as you search for availability. If your dining location is within a theme park, then you will just need to have an active ticket on the actual day you enter the park.

I hope this helps you continue making your plans, Kathryn! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
