We are planning a trip to WDW-- Dec 6-Dec 9 2019 for a 40th birthday! it will be just us two adults. We are gonna do MVMCP. Is there any restaurants holiday related? Any shows like Hoop De Do that do a holiday one? Any recommendations? Thanks

Hi there Meagan! How exciting! I can't think of a better gift to celebrate a milestone birthday than a trip. A birthday getaway to Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season? Now that's magical!

There is no place on Earth with more holiday cheer than Walt Disney World! It seems like every square inch of the Resort has been decked with gorgeous holiday decorations. This will include dining locations, which also tend to rotate in some seasonal menu items. The only specific holiday dining I am aware of at this time is Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine, where you'll have the opportunity to mingle with characters dressed in their holiday finest. Another great choice for the holidays is Biergarten Restaurant. The atmosphere here is especially beautiful during the holiday season, and the performers usually incorporate some Christmas music into their show. Even better, combine a meal here with my favorite holiday event ever, the Candlelight Processional. This beautiful show is just one of the holiday offerings at the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Dining packages for this event will be released later this year; in 2018 they were released in July.  Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding any holiday happenings for 2019.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a must-do holiday event! You will get goose bumps the moment you see the shimmering lights on Cinderella Castle! There will be holiday entertainment throughout the party. The highlight for me is the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, with snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A.! Your party admission includes seasonal snacks and treats. For an extra-special birthday treat, consider reserving a Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party.

Enjoy your magical birthday visit! Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button to let everyone know you are celebrating. Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions you may have.
