Planning 1st trip to WDW in 2010 for DH, DS (7), DS (5), and DD (3). Grandparents (my parents, DH's Mom) will join meet us at WDW to share in this magical experience! Saw your posts about villa vs. rooms. Suggestions for our group?

Hi, Julie!  This sounds like it's going to be a wonderful vacation!  My daughters love to go to Walt Disney World with their grandparents, and I love to watch how excited my parents get when they get to share the experience with them.

Think about what you would like to have in terms of a hotel.  I love the villas, and for my family, I definitely prefer them to regular hotel rooms.  Your party would fit in a two bedroom villa, and the villa gives you a washer and dryer, so you don't have to pack as many clothes; and a full kitchen, with everything you need to do meals for the family.  I find that we mostly do breakfast in the room, but it's so nice having a toaster, a microwave, the oven - even coming back after a long day, you can make a cup of tea or grab a cold drink before bed.  There's also a dining room table so you can eat together.

The two bedroom villas have two bathrooms - a large master bath and another full bathroom.  There are also televisions in each bedroom and in the living room.  The gift shop rents DVDs for you to enjoy with the DVD player in the living room.

Alternatively, you could do separate rooms and ask for them to be near each other.  Whenever we travel and a villa is not an option, my kids love having "sleep overs" with their grandparents in their hotel room.  The separate room also affords you a little bit more privacy.

I hope your first Walt Disney World vacation brings you and your family many happy memories!
