hi we are planning a trip to WDW in Aug for 3 weeks but cant decide between Polynesion or the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Any ideas? My boys will be 12 and 13 yrs old. Last visit we stayed at Allstar Movies and had a great time. Many thanks!

Wow! What a great decision to make, especially since you can't go wrong with either choice! We've had the good fortune to stay at both resorts with children of similar ages, so I'll give our thoughts on each resort.

Animal Kingdom Lodge - We absolutely love the theming of this resort. You'll really feel like you are in Africa! The lobby is spectacular and the ability to see giraffes and zebras at nearly all hours of the day is incredible! There are many places to sit and relax while enjoying the animals (even without a Savannah view room). Our kids especially enjoy the extra activities at this resort - viewing the animals with night vision goggles is always fun! Another great plus for this resort is the ability to book a room with bunk beds. Since our kids never seem to want to share, this is a great peacemaker!

Polynesian Resort: This resort is a great choice for its theming and location! If you plan on spending many days at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, the monorail access is a huge plus. Monorails and boats also make it very easy to travel to other nearby resorts for meals or dinner shows. Another great point for this resort is its large rooms. Each room also offers a day bed - another way to keep peace at nighttime!

Of course, you could decide to stay at both! Perhaps a week at one resort and two weeks at another? That way you can get the best of both worlds! We've switched hotels many times - its a great way to experience another part of Disney World during the same vacation!

Hope you have a great time!
