    We are planning our 1st trip to WDW, around the end of june beg. of July. I need to make res. by today 3/30. Have to choose between yact or port orleans. Any advise on which resort, kids are 11, 9, & 6. Will it be too hot? HelP

    Davia,

    The National Weather Service says that the July weather in Orlando is typically as follows;

    High: 92.2 degrees
    Low: 72.6
    Average: 82.4

    So it can get a bit warm, to say the least. Remember also that this is the height of the rainy season, so prepare for those daily showers.

    As to the resort, your first concern should be budget. Both are great. But while the Yacht offers more, it also costs more. If you can afford it, however, it would be great for your kids. The pool is AMAZING, and having the Boardwalk across the lagoon is very helpful at providing age-appropriate evening entertainment. It is also great to have Epcot walking distance away, and Hollywood Studios a boat ride away.

    One question. Are you and your kids adventurous when it comes to food? If you stay at the Yacht, then get park hopper options on your tickets. You can visit the varied Epcot World Showcase table service restaurants for unique dinners, or simply sample foods from the stands as you take the scenery in!

    I am glad to handle any follow-up questions if you need. Just go to my bio page to ask!

    Have a magical vacation!
