Hello! We are planning a trip to WDW in April 2013. Wondering if Whispering Canyon Cafe is similar to Hoop-De-Doo? We have never been to Whispering Canyon Cafe but have seen all of the good reviews! And how long should we allow to get there from Epcot?

Hi Heather! How exciting that you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World in April! It will be here before you know it!

Whispering Canyon Cafe is located in the Fort Wilderness Lodge and serves an all you care to enjoy family platter with ribs, chicken, beef strip loin, fish, sausage, veggies, potatoes, beans and corn on the cob. For dessert you will love the Whispering Canyon Chocolate Cake! There is also a jalapin cheesecake and apple-cranberry buckle. This menu is different from that at the Hoop-DeeDoo Revue. The Hoop Dee Doo Revue is one of the longest running shows at Walt Disney World and is held at the Fort Wilderness Lodge. The menu includes all you care to eat selections, including salad, corn bread, fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, cowboy beans and strawberry shortcake. Not only does the menu differ, but so does the experience. The Hoop Dee Doo Revue offers live entertainment with great actors. There is singing, dancing and good old fashioned fun. It has been a family favorite for years!

From Epcot, you can take a bus directly to the Fort Wilderness Lodge. To get back to your resort, you can take a bus to the Tickets and Transportation Center (TTC) and then take a bus/monorail/boat back to your resort (depending upon where you are staying)

I hope you have a magical visit!

    Magically,.
