Marsha from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am planning a trip to WDW again this year. In the past, as a FL resident, I have purchased tickets for my non-resident grandchildren so that we can all go to park together. This year I was told that this is no longer possible. Is this correct?

Hello Marsha, and welcome to planDisney! It's wonderful to see a fellow Floridian stop by. Thank you for your question. I'm delighted to assist you today.

Being a Florida Resident certainly makes visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth more affordable. Who doesn't love to save money? Florida Resident tickets are available exclusively to Florida Residents. Guests ages 18 and older must show a valid Florida ID to use these tickets, and those under 18 must also be Florida Residents. While this may not be the answer you were hoping for, I hope you and your grandchildren have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World.

My parents love taking my children there, especially to experience the World Showcase at EPCOT and try all the delicious food. We're planning to visit this month for the International Flower & Garden Festival. My boys like to make a list of food they want to sample, so we never miss our favorites. My son is a big fan of Spice Road Table. If you visit, be sure to try the calamari! My kids also enjoy Via Napoli, and I appreciate the value. The pizza is enormous, but the price is quite reasonable. Once, my son even ate 9 slices by himself!

Marsha, I hope this information has been helpful. More importantly, have a magical time at Walt Disney World. Please feel free to visit us again anytime.

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
