    We are planning a trip in 2013 and my understanding is that the pricing won't be out until June or July. How important is it to make resort reservations as soon as prices come out? Any advantage there? Also, does the package pricing save money?

    Hi Patrick!

    You can definitely save money on a WDW Magic Your Way Package if you are able to take advantage of one of the many promotions that WDW offers throughout the year.

    For example, there is a "free dining" promotion that is often offered at some point throughout the year. There is also usually a resort discount promotion of up to 40 percent, based on the resort in which you are staying. Many of those promotions are valid on "packages" meaning that you have a room and tickets booked together at a WDW resort.

    There are also many other advantages to booking a package, such as having all of your tickets, room key and credit card linked to your "Key to the World" card. This is a great convenience.

    In regards to booking as soon as the pricing is released, the earlier you book, the more rooms will be available. You will have a better selection of your resort and requested room if you book earlier.

    You can always apply a discount promotion after you've booked your package and a Cast Member will advise you if that promotion can be applied to your current package and what promotion offers the most savings for your particular trip needs.
