Ahoy, Raina!
Your buccaneers are in for the time of their lives when your crew experiences the magic of Disney on both land and sea! They will love the thrill of the attractions in the parks and the amazing programming offered in the youth clubs aboard the ship. It really doesn't get any better than a surf and turf vacation!
My family has visited the Walt Disney World Resort during most times of the year and cast off at least once in each month to the
Caribbean or the
Bahamas and have been lucky enough to have great weather no matter the season. But, if I had to pick my favorite time for a
land and sea adventure, it would probably be May. We've experienced fantastic weather this time of year, but unfortunately since it can be unpredictable, you never can know for sure. On Disney Cruise Line, May can sometimes be priced a little less since it's after Spring Break and just before summer vacations are underway.
It can be a little warm during the month of May, but there are plenty of ways to stay cool in both the parks and on the ship. We enjoy touring the parks in the morning to mid-afternoon and then coming back after a refreshing swim and rest at our resort for some nighttime fun. The water on
Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, is so refreshing and the perfect place to spend your day in this slice of paradise.
Raina, there are so many great times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line. I really don't think you can go wrong with your choice! If we can help you further, please let us know.
