Hi, Patti! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm a big fan of having groceries delivered to my Walt Disney World Resort hotel. It's a great way to budget- especially on those water bottles, and we all know that "a penny saved is a penny earned." Then you'll have a little extra spending money for a fun splurge!
I've ordered my groceries through Instacart and Garden Grocer, but the process will be the same with Amazon Fresh. Make sure to check the Walt Disney World website for the exact address of your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. If you haven't arrived, Bell Services will hold and refrigerate your food at no charge, which is very convenient (they've even kept my ice cream frozen)! If you'd like Bell Services to bring your grocery bags to your room, let the front desk know when you check-in or call from your room phone; a small fee will be charged to your room folio. Check the
Mail Services webpage for exact details.
The exception to this is if the delivery service vendor requires age or ID verification, Guests are required to meet and accept delivery directly from the vendor. I've talked to Bell Services about this in the past, and Disney is pretty strict about this policy. When ordering, try to choose a window when you know you have time to sit in the lobby and wait for the delivery driver. Personally, I prefer to pick up a bottle of wine from the lobby gift shop. Every Walt Disney World Resort hotel sells a variety of bottled beers, wines, and spirits (the Deluxe hotels and Disney Vacation Club properties have the best selection). This might make your life easier, too!
I hope this helps, Patti! Our planDisney panelists are full of tips and tricks, so feel free to write back if you need any more advice. See ya real soon!
