Choosing the right resort for your family is one of the most important steps when planning your Disney vacation. If you're finding that
Disney's Art of Animation Resort isn't quite the vibe you want for your comfort, that's ok. I've spent nights in Disney Resorts Collection hotels in every tier, and while I've slept like a log in value, moderate, and deluxe options, I definitely have my opinions on a few favorites for my comfort.
If you want to stay in the value tier, consider booking connecting rooms at
Disney's Pop Century Resort right next door. The rooms are simple and a bit less brightly decorated than Family Suites at your current location, but two rooms will be enough space for all 4 adults and your little grand-adventurer. Just make that request for connecting rooms at the time of booking. You'd still be similarly situated on Disney property and have the plus of still having access to the
Disney Skyliner. Now, if you don't mind a little price change, in the moderate tier, I'd book 2 rooms in the Gran Destino Tower at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. You get a luxurious feel for a moderate price.
If you're looking for comfort and coziness, and don't mind spending a few more coins, I'd recommend booking a resort that offers villas. There are 1 and 2-bedroom options that offer plenty of comfortable sleeping space, more bathrooms, full kitchens, and in-room laundry to tackle the ridiculous amount of dirty clothes that toddlers can make.
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is being renovated, but it was a great space for my friends and me when we stayed during the holidays. This option will also leave you steps away from Magic Kingdom.
