hello! We are planning a trip in Sept. Since it isn't as crowded, do we still need to make dinner reservations?

    Hi Jacqueline,

September is a great time to visit as the crowds are usually lighter since the kids are back in school. No matter when you come, I always recommend making advance dining reservations. Many local residents enjoy dining at Disney World and you never know when a group might have the same taste for a certain restaraunt as you.

The other thing to consider is WDW has been running a fantastic promotion the last few years, in the month of September, free dining. If you are staying on propery during select dates and purchase at least one day's park ticket with your stay, you have the option of adding the Disney Dining Plan for free. There have been no announcements yet if this promotion will be available in 2009, but given its popularity I would expect to see it make a return appearance. This dining promotion increases the amount of dining reservations that are being taken so many of the restaraunts are unavailable to walk up guests.

You can make the reservations 90 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE or 407-939-3463. Changes can always be made upon your arrival if there is still availability.
