Aloha, Robert!
Kona Cafe is best known for their beloved Tonga Toast breakfast plate, but this restaurant is also an excellent choice for dinner, especially since it's conveniently located on the monorail line and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a quick ride over from Magic Kingdom Park. We dined here a few years ago, and we ate so many Sticky Wings and Pot Stickers, I hardly had room for dinner (my husband also gave his sushi a big thumbs up)!
I'm so glad you asked this question, because I had heard a rumor that the menu had changed recently and this gave me a reason to investigate! It looks like you are correct- there is a Perfect Porterhouse Steak on the new menu, and it includes an 8-oz Tenderloin and 14-oz New York Steak, Roasted Bone Marrow, Sourdough Croutons, Loaded Bakers, and a Wedge Salad, which is currently listed at $95 (prices are always subject to change). You better come with your appetite if you plan on ordering this big Kahuna! Kona Cafe remains a single entitlement (credit) Table Service meal, and you can order anything on the menu except for the $95 steak, but the good news is that you can order 20-oz Bone-In Black Angus Rib-Eye. And if you're in the mood for a tropical cocktail to help you wash it down, I'd highly recommend ordering a Lapu Lapu! Wander outside to the beach after dinner, and you might catch a glimpse of the
Happily Ever After Firework Show, which starts at 9:15 PM- this would be a magical ending to any meal!
Stop back by the Moms Panel again, Robert, if you have any more planning questions!
