    I am planning a trip in October with my 10 year old daughter. She is not a big eater and she's picky. She would be happiest ordering from the children's menu. Do you think this will be a problem?

    When I was at WDW a few weeks ago, my 60-something mom was not particularly hungry one day ordered off the children's menu. It was not any problem at all. Also, my 11-year-old daughter ordered about half her meals from the adult menus and half from the kids menu, with no problems at all. One little twist to this is that we were just paying for our meals, we were not on any Dining Plan.

    If you are just paying for your meals, it does not matter what you order. If you are on a Disney Dining Plan, it is slightly more complicated. On the Dining Plan, your 10-year-old would be considered an adult. No matter what she orders, she will have an adult meal credit deducted from your plan for each meal. Following the exact "letter of the law" she would only be eating adult food. However, if you explain to your server that she just want the kids food, your server will very likely be kind and bring what your daughter wants. The server will, however, have to use an adult meal credit for her because she is 10.
