We are planning a trip for October 10-17 of this year and have 4 kids ages 8-11. My concern is that it is during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. How crowded will all other parks be? Don't want to be waiting in lines for 1-2 hours. Thanks for your help

The Epcot Food & Wine Festival is a wonderful event with some super yummy food offerings at Epcot. If you're at Epcot during your trip, you should definitely take a stroll around the World Showcase and sample at least a few of the tasting-size dishes at the stands.

As far a crowds go, you should know that the F&WF takes place during a historically very low crowd time at WDW. I have to say that if I had to choose the ideal time to visit Walt Disney World, I would absolutely say October. There will be a bit of crowd bump at Epcot itself. But much of this is local folks stopping by Epcot to check out the food. These guests will not be going to the other parks much and should not have any appreciable impact other than at Epcot.

Again, you've really chosen an ideal time for Disney, with low crowds and mild weather.

    Enjoy!
