Hi Dawn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited to hear that you are planning to visit during the
Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party!
Mickey and his friends are all dressed up in their Halloween costumes, you can trick-or-treat all over the Magic Kingdom Park and you get to enjoy a special spooky “Boo-to-you Halloween Parade”, it has always been a fun night for me!
The first night of the party happens during the last week in August and it runs all the way through to the end of October, with Halloween night selling out quickly. The parties are usually held Tuesday, Friday and Sunday nights, then as you get closer to Halloween more days are added. Weekend nights tend to be a bit busier than weekday nights.
While dates for the 2018 parties have not been released yet, I’ve had good luck finding out exactly when they do go on sale on the
Disney Parks Blog. There you can also keep track of what’s going on all over the Walt Disney World Resort.
Here are a few things you should remember when planning your visit to Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween party:
-You will be able to enter the Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 p.m., but the event doesn’t start until 7 p.m. It runs until midnight.
-It’s the only time of year adults can dress up! But remember, your costume should be family friendly and masks, sharp or dangerous accessories are not allowed.
-There are special themed snacks like poison apples and adorable cupcakes. I may have indulged in one or more of the special sweet treats!
Hope this gives you some ideas when it comes to planning your fall trip! Come back to see us if you have any more questions!
