Hello! We are planning a trip this October and I’m worried that the fireworks for the 100 th celebration will be changed to the Halloween show during that month. I’m concerned that I will miss the celebration fireworks due to Halloween…

    Hi there, Aimee!

Visiting Disneyland Resort during the Halloween season is always a delightfully spooky treat! In years past, Mickey and friends have been decked out in their best costumes and Jack Skellington takes over the Haunted Mansion will an incredible holiday overlay. I enjoyed Haunted Mansion Holiday on my very first visit to Disneyland Resort, and again this past December and I promise it's an experience you won't soon forget!

While the official entertainment schedules have not yet been released for October,  Halloween Screams was featured at Disneyland Park between September 2 and October 31 last year, with accompanying fireworks on select nights through the season. I recommend keeping an eye on the Hours & Events Calendar for the most up-to-date details as your visit nears.

I know you might be hoping to see Wondrous Journeys during your October trip but even if you aren't able to enjoy this nighttime spectacular on this particular vacation, there are plenty more opportunities to celebrate Disney100 from specialty snacks to platinum-inspired merchandise. I'm hoping you may still get to enjoy World of Color- ONE at Disney California Adventure Park on nights when Oogie Boogie Bash is not scheduled. Again, the entertainment schedule has not been released that far out yet, but keep an eye on the calendar for more details as they become available.

Aimee, I'm certain you'll be inspired by the magic and charm of Disneyland Resort no matter which season you choose to visit. As Walt said, "Disneyland will never be completed," so there will always be something new to experience on future trips. That's one of the reasons I love Disney Parks so very much; the imagination and innovation continue. If you do decide to stick with your October 2023 travel dates be sure to snap a photo in front of the giant Mickey pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A. It's a signature photo opportunity and one I'm hoping I'll get to enjoy myself one day soon!

    Wishing you magic and memories!
