we are planning a trip in october 2011. my daughter just turned 7. looking for all the right moves to make this affordable, fun and memory capturing. thanks for any advice!

    Hi Brandi!

What a wonderful age to be bringing your daughter to Disney.  October is one of my favourite times of the year to visit Disney as I have found that the crowd levels are managable and the weather is great.  I would definitely book at least one character dining experience for your family.  Character breakfasts are more affordable than lunches and dinners.  We enjoy the character breakfast at Chef Mickey.  It is a great way to start the day as you get to meet and get the autographs of many characters before you even get to the park.  The characters you will meet at this restaurant include Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto. Click here to read more about Chef Mickey's.
Visit the special offers page on the Disney website.  There you will see what deals are being offered during the dates of your vacation.
My advise for making sure you see and do as much of the park as possible is to have a plan.  Before you leave for your trip sit down with your family and look at each park map on the Disney website.  Then map out what rides and attractions you would like to experience.  This way when you arrive at the parks you won't be overwhelmed with everything there is to see and do and you will know where you want to go.

    Have a magical vacation!
