Planning a trip in Oct. 2012. We usually stay at Poly but looking to change things up this time. I want to stay at the GF but my husband thinks it might be too stuffy. He likes the laid back feeling of Poly. We have a six year old son who will be with us.

Hi Johannah! I'm all about trying new resorts, but know how hard it is once you find one you absolutely love, like the Polynesian. The Grand Floridian is gorgeous! Although at first glance it can appears to be really up-scale, it won't take too long to realize that, despite the splendour, it is still a family resort. The restaurant choices are fantastic, and you can't beat the pools and the setting. And don't forget the location - being one monorail stop away from the Magic Kingdom.

Another resort to consider is the Contemporary. Your son will love that the monorail goes right through it. The rooms are awesome, and there's so much to do. Fantastic dining, water sports, and a short monorail ride or walk to the Magic Kingdom.

Hope this helps with your decision-making Johannah!
