Planning trip Oct 2016. Plan to buy 4 day base tickets. Wanting to know if I could upgrade 1 day of those tickets to park hopper. First day I need to park hop, the rest of stay I can do 1 park a day. Can I only upgrade my first day ticket to hopper?

    Hi, Sharon!
Thanks for checking in with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I think your plan could work.

You could go to the online Theme Park Ticket page to purchase a One-Day Park Hopper and then you could buy Three-Day base tickets. The trick is, you will not benefit from the discounts you get by purchasing a four-day pass. (The more park days, the bigger the daily discount.) I did some price comparisons and it looks like buying a One-Day Park Hopper and Three-Day Base Ticket is exactly the same cost as a Four-Day Park Hopper. You might want to do the math to confirm, but it looks like you might as well snag a Four-Day Park Hopper option.

I hope you find the perfect park ticket plan for your October visit! Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions before your vacation.
