Planning a trip for Oct, 2011, likely over Canadian Thanksgiving. Could you please give us an idea of the weather, crowds, any special events in the Parks, & if this would be a good time to visit? Travelling with DD8, looking to stay at BC, or CB. Thx

Hello to a fellow Canadian SherisseI In 2011, Canadian Thanksgiving is on Monday, October 10th, which is a great time to visit Disney World! Although most of us here on the panel would say that about any date!! The average temperatures in Orlando in October are between 66 and 85 Farenheit, which is between 19 and 30 degrees Celcius. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my absolute favourite special event at the Magic Kingdom. Click here to check for dates. The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is a must do at that time of year, Culinary events, exotic food and fantastic music abound - click here for more info.

Depending on the exact dates of your travel, there are often great resort and/or package deals to be had. I highly recommend checking the Disney website regularly to take advantage of the best prices.

Write us back if we can help you as you plan your vacation Sherisse!
