Hi Lisa! Walt Disney World has lots of fun restaurants located outside the theme parks. My family likes to kick off our Disney vacations with a meal at Downtown Disney. If your kids are dinosaur fans, they would enjoy
T-Rex. The restaurant has a huge menu with something to please everyone and the audio-animatronic dinosaurs would mesmerize your little ones. After dinner, you could stroll the shops at Downtown Disney. Your sons would love a stop at the Lego store where they can play with Legos and see the amazing sculptures outside!
Another entertaining first night activity is the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. This rollicking musical show is fun for the whole family! The Fort Wilderness Resort is also home to the free nightly Chip'n'Dale's Campfire Sing-a-Long and movie, which would be a fun way to spend your first evening at Disney World.
Finally, consider dining at
Sanaa or
Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. These restaurants feature exotic foods inspired by Africa and India, but also include the standard kid-friendly items. Spend some time before or after dinner exploring the resort and gazing at the animals from the savanna viewing areas. There are even night-vision goggles available to help you spot the animals after dark!
Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
