    Planning trip for November 2009. Which week (besides Thanksgiving week) would you recommend? I am thinking Veterans Day week, the week before Thanksgiving or the week immediately following Thanksgiving.

    Hi Christina,

    I would go with the week before or after Thanksgiving. Veternans' Day week is also light but some guests may go for a long weekend or this week instead of Thanksgiving because the kids are only missing one extra day of school at about half of the price.

    The week before will have some of the holiday decorations. The neat thing about this week is that Disney is busy decorating for holidays. You could go to sleep at your resort and wake up the next morning to the beautiful holiday decorations. This was a magical surprise for us one year.

    The week after Thanksgiving will have all of the beauty of the holiday season. The parks and resorts will be decorated but the crowds will thin out as people are back to school and work.
