Hi, Kaisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for bringing this question to us. I will always remember the look of awe on my daughter's face the first time she walked into Magic Kingdom Park and saw Cinderella Castle. She said then that it was the prettiest castle ever made, and that held true until she saw it lit up for the holidays. I am so glad you will be able to experience
Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season and see this wondrous sight!
Queen Elsa illuminates Cinderella Castle twice each night from early November through early January during
A Frozen Holiday Wish. The timing of this show differs each night, depending on if
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is being held. On nights that there is not a party, you can see Queen Elsa work her magic at 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. If there is a party being held that night and you do not have tickets for it, then Magic Kingdom Park will be closing at 7:00 o'clock. Do not despair, however, as you will still be able to see Cinderella Castle illuminated by Queen Elsa at 6:15 p.m. Guests partaking of the jolly fun at the party will also be able to see the show at 8 o'clock.
A Frozen Holiday Wish viewing tip: I have found the best viewing area to be in the circular hub area in front of Cinderella Castle, near the large Partners statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. If you take a look at the area directly in front of the castle earlier in the day when it is not crowded, you will see the ground slopes a bit towards the castle. Viewing this show from behind the crowd near the Partners statue puts you slightly "heads above" the crowd!
I hope you have a merry holiday visit, Kaisa! Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip.
