I am planning a trip next year with my family of five and my mother and father and plan to purchase the deluxe dining plan. Does the 18% gratutiy for large parties include young children my two youngest are 4? Thanks for your help.

With the Disney Dining Plan, parties of six or more people will have an 18% gratuity automatically added to their bill. Children are part of this head count. For counting purposes, your family of five, plus your parents , would give you a party size of seven. You will be automatically charged the gratuity.

On an unrelated note ... As a fellow parent of twins, I can tell you that bringing extra family members with you on your trip is a great idea. When our twins were preschoolers, there was a big difference between the trips where we had reinforcements and the trips were we did not.

I hope you all have a wonderful visit to WDW!
