Hip hip hooray, Annemarie. I'm so glad you found your way to planDisney today and am excited to hear you have a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth planned for next summer! My husband and I were there during the first part of July this summer and really enjoyed the Fourth of July festivities. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more information on the holiday’s festive fun closer to your arrival.
Of course, after a fun day in the theme parks, you’ll definitely want to escape that Florida summer heat. Lucky for you, each and every
Disney Resorts Collection hotel has pools where you can cool off and relax. While there isn’t a comprehensive list of all the pool depths I can share with you, my research shows most resort pools have a maximum depth of six feet. There will be areas of the pools that aren’t that deep, but that’s typically the maximum. Many of the Disney Resort hotels also have kiddie pools or water play areas, so your young Mouseketeers will have access to those areas as well (height restrictions apply). You can take comfort in the fact that life jackets are provided at all Disney Resort hotel pools.
I suggest you start by narrowing down the list of resorts to your top few choices based on other criteria that’s important to you. Think about location, price range, proximity to the theme parks, methods of transportation, and available recreational activities. Once you have a list of your top choices, please stop by planDisney again to ask a follow-up question about the pool depths at those specific resorts. We’d be happy to find that information for you.
Annemarie, I hope this helps you finalize your plans. To help pass the time while you count down to your vacation, be sure to tune in to the

You are the magic,
