    DH and I are planning a trip for next month with our 13 month old son. I'm trying to find the best resort for a young child. He is very active so I would love a resort with a fun kiddie pool and something close to the parks & dining w/ the characters.

    Mia,

    All of the Disney resorts are very kid friendly, even for the under 3 set. But I have my favorites,and these are what I would recommend for you;

    Deluxe Resort: Grand Floridian
    Now with two pools that have horizon entries, you have a lot of fun pool space to work with, and you are just a quick monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom.

    Moderate Resort: Port Orleans Riverside or Caribbean Beach
    A good pool, lots of amenities, a boat ride to Downtown Disney, and a central location make Port Orleans Riverside the best choice for your little guy. But the toddler pool at the Caribbean Beach is so great that it may make up for long transportation time to the parks. Pick based on which theme seems better for your party.

    Value Resort: Art of Animation
    An amazing pool complex, in particular for the toddler set, make this really the best choice, far and away, for value resorts.

    I am glad to answer any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
