Hi Kristi!
Welcome to planDisney! One of the best ways that we incorporate downtime during our
Walt Disney World vacation is by spending time at the pool. For parents, being able to just sit and relax poolside helps us unwind and stay cool in the warm Florida sun. For young ones, Disney Cast Members entertain them with activities and music by the pool. It's a great way to enjoy a bit of rest before heading back to the parks for evening entertainment.
Kristi, you'll be happy to know that life jackets are available poolside at every Disney pool. There are also lifeguards present at the feature pools during operating hours. Most
Disney Resorts Collection hotels do offer towels at the poolside, however, on several occasions, we have been asked to bring our room towels as there were no towels provided at the pools. This may the case at Value and Moderate resorts, so my suggestion to you is to bring your room towels until you see the towel carts near the pools. As for towels at either
Blizzard Beach or
Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks, they are free for Guests who are staying on property and cost a small fee for those who are day Guests. Currently, pricing for towel rental is $2, which is subject to change at any time. You are welcome to bring your own towels if you prefer. Should you forget sunscreen, bathing suits, water shoes, or goggles, rest assured that you can purchase these supplies, and more, at the stores within the Water Parks.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
Malanie
