Hi Kathy Sue!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney!
When choosing your Lightning Lane pre-selections for
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you’ll be able to choose one tier 1 attraction and 2 tier two attractions -or- 3 tier two attractions. You can find which attractions are in which tier on
Disney World’s website at this link.
Currently, Animal Kingdom’s attractions are not broken up into tiers, which means you’ll be able to choose any 3 attractions for your pre-selections, pending availability.
When it comes time to purchase and book your Lightning Lanes, your booking window will depend on where you’ll be staying during your trip. If you’re a
Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel guest, your booking window for your entire trip will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your check-in date. If you’ll be staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets.
As you purchase your Lightning Lanes services, you’ll go through each day separately (as a separate transaction). I’ve found that booking my Lightning Lanes for later in my trip first gives me a better chance at snagging some of those harder-to-get tier one attractions.
If you don’t happen to get an attraction or return time you were hoping for, you can modify your Lightning Lanes at any time leading up to your trip or on your park day (pending availability).
Finally, remember that once you scan into your first Lightning Lane of your park day using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, tiers no longer matter! So, at that point, you’ll be able to book any available Lightning Lane.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions,
let us know!
