Planning 2nd trip for May '13. Stayed at Moderate Resort 1st time, and was VERY pleased with resort/accommodations. Son is a Cars MEGA-fan, so considering AOA....but it is a Value resort. Major differences? What about in comparison to other Value resorts?

Hi, Laura!  The big differences between the moderate resorts and the value resorts are the resort amenities.  You will have access to a sit down restaurant at a  moderate resort, where the value resorts offer only a food court option.  The rooms have a tiny bit more space in a moderate resort, and you'll generally find that while the pools are themed to the resort whether you are at a moderate or value, the moderate pools usually have a slide and some sort of play area.

At the brand new Art of Animation resort, in addition to the brand new resort smell that I love, you'll have the opportunity to book a family suite.  This more than makes up for the little bit of space you would lose in a standard Value resort room, as you'll have a separate master bedroom, two bathrooms, two televisions, and a kitchenette.  The three pools are incredibly well themed, and you'll find a fun splash area for the kids.

In comparison to the other value resorts, you'll find more of the family suites there than at All Star Music, which is the only other value resort to offer family suites.  I also think the pools here are super cute, and while the themes at the other value resort pools are wonderful, this is so colorful and playful.

I know my family would choose Disney's Art of Animation resort over a moderate on some of our future stays.  It's fabulous, fun, colorful, and definitely a place to try!
