Hi all - We are planning our 2nd trip for May-14. We have a 3yo daughter. First trip we stayed at AoA which she loved but I am thinking a little more luxury for me is in order - but still 3yr Princess friendly. What is a good hotel recommendation?

    Hi, Amy!

Congratulations on planning your second visit to Walt Disney World in May 2014! My daughter also loved staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort in a Little Mermaid room, but recently our family enjoyed several nights in a Royal Guest Room at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and the beautiful "princess room" has definitely become her new favorite. There are wonderful details in the Royal Guest Rooms, including an amazing LED fireworks display in the custom headboards! These princess-themed guest rooms have a decidedly luxurious feel.

Port Orleans is a moderate category resort and offers many fun recreational activities including an evening campfire where you can roast marshmallows and make s'mores. The resort also features a table-service restaurant, Boatwright's Dining Hall, with a tasty menu. The resort grounds are beautifully landscaped and the lovely mansion buildings truly exude Southern charm and hospitality. I think your little princess would be delighted by a special stay in a Royal Guest Room and you would enjoy the enhanced amenities offered over a value resort.

My second resort recommendation for you is Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Walt Disney World's flagship resort hotel. If your budget allows for a stay here, you will find all the pampering and luxury your heart desires! The resort features a full-service spa as well as several fabulous restaurants and Character dining, including dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare. The guest rooms are very spacious and elegantly appointed. One of the reasons to consider a stay at the Grand Floridian is the resort's location on the monorail line and proximity to Magic Kingdom.

I hope this is helpful to you in making your resort stay decision. Please let me know if you have any other questions on the two resorts I've recommended - I would be happy to assist you further with your planning!
