We're planning a trip on March 6th and was wondering if I'm able to purchase a photo pass online or does it need to be done at the park?

Welcome to planDisney, Geneva! Photos are an important part of any trip. Those snapshots from a Disneyland day have a way of becoming treasured keepsakes long after the churro crumbs are gone.

You’ll be happy to know that you do not have to wait until you arrive to purchase Disney PhotoPass. You can buy Disney PhotoPass+ One Week online ahead of your trip. This option allows you to download all eligible Disney PhotoPass photos taken during a consecutive seven-day period for one set price. That includes pictures captured by Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, as well as select attraction photos. Since pricing is subject to change, I recommend checking the Disneyland website or app for the most up-to-date details before purchasing.

Another option you may want to consider is Lightning Lane Multi Pass. In addition to providing access to Lightning Lane entrances for select attractions (helping you save time in line), Lightning Lane Multi Pass also includes unlimited digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos taken that day. It’s a convenient way to combine shorter waits with built-in photo downloads. You’ll also have access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the Disneyland app, which add playful augmented-reality effects to your pictures and can be especially fun for families or groups.

If you haven’t purchased your theme park tickets yet, you can add Lightning Lane Multi Pass during the ticket checkout process online. If your tickets are already secured, you may still be able to add it through the Disneyland app when you scan into your first theme park for the day, depending on availability.

One tip I always love to share is to take advantage of attraction photos. Picking a signature pose to repeat throughout the day (or even year after year) can turn a simple ride photo into a fun tradition. There’s something extra special about looking back at those images and seeing how your family’s story has grown over time. A dramatic splashdown pose on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or hands-in-the-air excitement on Space Mountain can become part of your Disneyland legacy.

Geneva, I hope this helps you choose the photo option that best fits your plans. However you decide to capture your memories, I hope your visit is filled with picture-perfect moments. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us again at planDisney!

    See you in the snapshots,
