I am planning a trip for March 2016, party of 5, 3 adults, a tween & a 4 year old. however most resorts say exceeds maximum capacity. do I have to get a suite? Thank you

    HI Janice!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   Like yourself I have a family of five, and we love visiting Walt Disney World.  We have found a few Resorts on property that we LOVE to stay at.  I'm happy to share those with you.

Our favorite Resort to stay at as a family is Disney's Art of Animation Resort.   The Family Suites at this amazing hotel are themed after some of the most loved Disney and Disney Pixar movies.   The Family Suites sleep up to six Guests plus an infant under 3 years of age.   Family Suites are equipped with 3 separate sleeping areas, 2 full bathrooms and even a small kitchenette.   They are AWESOME!   Disney's Art of Animation Resort is also considered a value Resort, so the rooms are friendly on the pocketbook as well.

A second option and a close second favorite in my household are the Alligator Bayou rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside.   These rooms can sleep up to 5 Guests.   They have 2 Queen sized beds, and a small pull-down trundle size bed that would be perfect for your 4 year old.   My 4 and 5 year old sons often argue over who gets to sleep on it each night.   We often have to settle the dispute with a game of rock, paper, scissors.    This option may be a little more cost effective than a Family Suite, but the Family Suite does provide more space.

I hope you are able to find the perfect accommodations for your family, Janice.   Please let us know if we can help out again.
