Hi! We are planning a trip in March and would like to go to the ESPN wide world of sports for a spring training game. Any suggestions or tips for buying tickets? I appreciate any advice since we have never been to the wide world of sports. Thanks!

    Hey Michelle!

I am so excited to see that you will be combining my two favorite thing: Walt Disney World and baseball. You are going to love seeing an Atlanta Braves spring training game at Champion Stadium in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

When it comes to purchasing spring training tickets, I believe it's always better to be safe than sorry. I suggest pre-purchasing your spring training tickets as you never know what the crowds will be like for a particular game. This is especially true when the Braves play a team which has a large following such as the New York Yankees or hometown favorites, Florida Marlins.

Some advice regarding transportation to the Complex: If you are staying at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney's Pop Century Resort take advantage of Disney Bus Transportation. Buses to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex run from one hour prior to the Complex opening until 11:00 p.m. or when the Complex closes, whichever is later. If you are not staying at one of these resorts and don't have a car, I suggest hailing a cab or using Uber.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any more questions about ESPN Wide World of Sports or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a *MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
