Planning a trip for 2015, and looking for advice on the week to go. Main objective is to avoid large crowds, but nice weather is important too. Thoughts on the first week of March? Too cold/rainy? Only been in November, December, April and May. Thank you!!

    Hi Lauren,

Weather is so tricky at at the Walt Disney World Resorts especially in those first three months of the year. March will definitely not have you worrying about thunderstorms or humidity. However, you can get a cold spell and then you will need to bundle up. I have been in March and I was comfortable in t-shirt and capris during the day with a light jacket at night. I like April and May better as it is just a little warmer. If you avoid Easter, Passover and Memorial Day weekend, you have lots of flexiblity for great weather and low crowds.

My favorite month to go is October. The crowds are low, the humidity is gone and the extras are some of my favorites. I love Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Presented by Chase. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one extra I will pay for during my vacation. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Presented by Chase adds extra kiosks to World Showcase and is a must for foodies. As long as you avoid the weekends, this is a fun way to try new foods from around the world.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
