We are planning a trip in late April. Will there still be a lot of renovation activity/ disruption? Will the Dig Site Pool be open at that point?

Hello, Sarah! Welcome to the wonderful world of the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is actually the very first Disney Resort I ever had the pleasure of staying at and holds a very special place in my heart.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort recently began a resort-wide reimagining in order to further enhance the guest experience. The resort continues to feature beautiful Spanish-influenced theming throughout its grounds while fully updating the interior of the more than 1,800 existing guest rooms, adding new walkways across Lago Drago, and constructing the all new 15-story resort center piece, Gran Destino Tower, that will add 545 new guest rooms. This only highlights a few of the updates still to come!

While this refurbishment takes place, some construction may be seen and heard by guests staying at this Resort hotel. It should be noted, though, that noise should not be heard from Guest rooms prior to 9:00am each morning.

The main pool, The Dig Site, recently reopened in early December of 2018. This massive pool features a 50-foot pyramid at its center as well as a thrilling 123-foot-long waterslide. While visiting the pool, I would also suggest stopping by Siestas Cantina, the counter service dining location that offers poolside refreshments. The food found at this dining location is among my favorite at this Resort hotel!

Good luck continuing to plan your April 2019 trip!
