    Planning trip the last week of Feb 2010. Our first choice of resorts is the Contemporary. I understand discounts have yet to be published. Should I wait to book until discounts are published? Typically how much of a discount should I expect, if any?

    In general, there is no guideline when or if discounts will be made for hotel, dining plan or tickets. I would subscribe to a newsletter such as Mousesavers.com or AllEars.Net to receive the latest updates on these specials.


    The amount and type of discount varies. This summer Disney offered pay for four/receive three free for hotel and tickets. Disney also offered free dining to guests arriving late August. In addition, all guests were eligible to receive a free park entrance on their birthday! There are also deals for guests who have a certain credit card or club membership.

    I would book a resort I could afford now. Then if there is a special, I would call Disney and ask for the special. If a room is available at that rate, Disney will usually honor the lower rate and adjust your price accordingly. They can even move you to a new resort if you want.
