Planning our trip. My kids will be 6&2 @ the time and we want to stay in a Moderate resort. The more I look the more I can't decide. As far as transport to the parks what would be the best? I'm up in the air between CBR or POFQ

    Hi Elizabeth,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip, and thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Over the years, my family has been able to stay at all the Moderate Resort Hotels, so I can tell you a little about my own experiences.

If transportation is a deciding factor for your family, I'd have to recommend Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.  This is actually one of my favorite all-around resorts at Walt Disney World!  Where Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is huge and expansive, French Quarter is just the opposite, with a small size and intimate feel.  This means you'll have easy access to your room, the food court, the one resort bus stop, pool and more.  There have been times during my visits when French Quarter guests shared bus service with nearby Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, but that hasn't always been the case.  Either way, I've never had an experience at French Quarter where the bus has arrived at the resort bus stop full.  Also, looking at estimated bus ride times, it looks like they are similar between the parks and both resorts you're considering.  One other transportation perk that's available at both French Quarter and Riverside is the boat ride along the Sassagoula River to Downtown Disney.  It's a relaxing and unique option if you want to head that way for some great dining, shopping or entertainment.

Of course, transportation is just one thing to consider, so if you have any other questions as you make your decision, please let me know.

    Happy vacation planning, Elizabeth!
