Hi! Planning our trip for June, we would like to visit Epcot and Hollywood studios in one day, do you think it’s possible? Or do you recommend choosing only one? (We won’t go on thrill rollercoasters because of my son)

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, Ingrid! At planDisney, we love helping Guests like you make their Disney vacation dreams come true. I am so glad you decided to ask about visiting EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in one day. It’s certainly possible, but I would love to offer you some tips and tricks to maximize your single day in these two fabulous parks.

I have visited EPCOT and Hollywood Studios myself in one day! They are the two ideal parks to visit on the same day because they are not very far from each other, cutting down on the time it takes to travel from one park to the other. The best way to move from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios or from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT is on the Disney Skyliner, located outside of the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and just before the bus terminals at Hollywood Studios.

As you plan your visit, I would start by deciding which park you would like to end with. I decide this by choosing the Nighttime Spectacular I most want to see. Check out Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT and Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios. Once you know what Nighttime Spectacular you want to see, you can start to plan out the rest of your day accordingly. I prefer Luminous and ending the day in EPCOT, so I would plan to start my morning early at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Did you know you have early access to the theme parks if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel or another select hotel? This benefit is called Early Theme Park Entry. You can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Passes or Lightning Lane Single Passes to cut down on some of the attraction wait times. This can help you maximize your time in both parks. After spending the morning and early afternoon at Hollywood Studios, I would move over to EPCOT to stroll around the World Showcase, enjoy lunch or dinner, and end the evening watching Luminous The Symphony of Us.

Whether you decide to visit one park or both, I hope you have an unforgettable time visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth, Ingrid! If we can answer additional questions or offer you more recommendations, please return to planDisney. We are here and happy to help!
