We are planning trip June 2009 at Polynesian or Yacht Club. Went in 07' and stayed at PO but are a party of 3 adults and 2 children and were crowded. Need space and need to be closer to transp. and main bldgs. which do you recommend? We love Disney!

Either one of these hotels would have rooms that sleep up to five people on two queen size beds plus a convertible daybed. The rooms at these deluxe hotels are bigger than those at the moderate hotels as well. If it's space you're after, the only other regular hotel rooms that would be larger than these would be those at the Grand Floridian which do have slightly more floor space. If you wanted a way to have more personal privacy for a group of your size and also good transportation, then I'd look into the villa rooms at either the Beach Club or the Wilderness Lodge. These are both near the theme parks and would give you two rooms, plus a kitchen, washer/dryer, and much more space.

As far as transportation goes, both of these resorts you mentioned are at the top of the list for convenience. I would base my choice on two factors. First, which park are you going to be spending the most time at? If you think you'll be at the Magic Kingdom for the bulk of your trip, then the Poly would be your best choice. If you think you'll be dividing your time fairly evenly among the four parks, then I'd stay at the Yacht Club. From the Yacht Club, you can walk or take a quick boat ride to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood. So easy!

The second thing to consider is the amount of swimming you'll be doing. The Poly pool is great, but the Yacht and Beach Club pool is universally considered to be the best at WDW. It's like a mini-water park right at your hotel.

Basically, I'd say that if you have kids that are ages about 7 down, I'd do the Poly, and if your kids are older than 7, I'd do the Yacht Club.  But really, both are great.
