I am planning a trip in June 2026. I planned to go to Animal Kingdom on Monday, June 1 (our tickets aren't Park Hopper tickets). My kids want to go to the Magic Kingdom After Hours that day. Are we able go to the After Hours without Park Hopper?

Hey there, Amber! I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney with your question about After Hours at Magic Kingdom. Let's take a look at how this special ticketed event works!

Disney After Hours is a specially ticketed event that gives you three extra hours in the park after it officially closes. It's one of the very best ways to enjoy your favorite attractions with significantly shorter wait times. Your ticket also includes complimentary select snacks and beverages throughout the night, like ice cream and popcorn, making it feel like an extra magical bonus.

While the event itself begins after park closing, your ticket actually lets you enter Magic Kingdom as early as 7:00 PM, giving you a head start on the fun. Since this is a separate event, you don't need a regular theme park ticket or Park Hopper. You only need to purchase a ticket for the specific After Hours event you'd like to attend.

If you're staying at a Disney Resort during your visit, did you know that beginning May 26th you'll receive complimentary water park admission on your check-in day?! Your vacation timing couldn't be more perfect to kick things off with a SPLASH! With both Disney's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon open, you can decide whether you're ready to take on the towering Summit Plummet or ride the thrilling Crush 'n' Gusher!

Cool KIDS' SUMMER also launches on May 26th, bringing extra entertainment, surprise character appearances, themed activities, and playful summer vibes across the parks, making it an even more exciting time for families to visit and soak up the magic.

Amber, I hope this has been helpful as you continue planning your trip. If any other questions pop up, you're always welcome here at planDisney!

    Magic Awaits,
