    We are planning a trip for June 2021. I know that we will have to purchase MB but I see that some still say 2020. When will newer bands be out? And if we decide to order from the Disney Store can we link those instead? Thanks!

    Well hey there, Sarah with an "h." Which is really the best way to spell it if you ask me. 

    Sarah, new MagicBands are constantly rolling out, so there is no arrival date for the most recent bands, including the 2021 edition. Additionally inventory changes in realtime, so while a specialty MagicBand may be available on Monday, it could be gone on Tuesday before it makes its grand reappearance on Wednesday. 

    Since you have a bit of time before your June vacation, I would recommend that you keep checking back every so often to see what bands are available at the special discounted rate for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests. 

    If you decide that you would like to go ahead and purchase a MagicBand on shopDisney, you absolutely can do so. Each band comes with a code, so you will simply need to link it to your My Disney Experience Account. A word of warning: once a band is linked, it can never be transferred, so make sure that you link it to the right person!
