We are planning a trip in July, staying at a wdw resort. We are going to drive ourselves. Will we be able to park at the resort and then get all the shuttle we need? Thanks alot

Yes. There is free transportation (via bus, boat, or monorail, depending on where you're staying) from all of the WDW resorts to all four theme parks, both water parks, and Downtown Disney. Many people, including myself, never use a car while at Walt Disney World.

There are, however, some circumstances where if you do have a car, you might want to use it instead of Disney transportation. Specifically, it is often easier to use your own car if you are traveling directly from a resort to a resort. With a car, you can go directly from point A to point B. With Disney transport, you have to make a transfer at theme park or Downtown Disney. For example, if you were staying at the All Star Sports resort and wanted to have dinner at the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club, you could drive yourself directly there. Or, if you took Disney transportation, you'd have to take a bus from the All Star to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then transfer to a boat to the Beach Club.

You should know that if you're staying at a Disney hotel, parking is free at all the parks and resorts.

Have a wonderful trip to WDW. I'll be there in mid-July. Please stop and say "hi" if you see me in the parks.
