I am planning a trip for July 2014 and would really like to stay at either the Yacht or Beach Club. I am worried about availability in these resorts if I wait for the Package Rates for 2014. Are rooms reserved for the packages or should I book now?

    Hi Diane,

My family loves the Beach Club and the Yacht Club! Their location is awesome because we can walk to two parks, eat a kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, slide down a pirate ship and spend an evening at the Boardwalk.

Disney does not reserve rooms unless it is part of a package that is tied to a specific guest's request such as for a wedding, conference or other celebration. However, that is limited.

When planning a trip, if the resort location is important to you, book that resort now so you have it. If there is a package deal available after you book, then you can ask Disney to adjust your room only to a package. Disney will usually make the switch if it is available.

You also do not say if you will be driving or flying to the area. Generally, airfares are cheapest, especially to a place like Orlando, the further out you book. Some carriers already have released summer fares while others will release their fares at the nine month mark which is in October.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
