Planning a trip in Jan/ Feb 2015 for mom, dad, twin girls who will be 4.75. Narrowed down hotel to PO RS or FQ standard room. Like RS food options & pool better, but concerned about more walking for the kids. Thoughts? Do these rooms have fridges?

Hi Karen! Happy to hear you've narrowed it down to Port Orleans resort! It's my favourite moderate resort, and have enjoyed both French Quarter and Riverside. All rooms do have mini, bar-sized fridges, which come in very handy.

If you want to minimize walking, then I would definitely go with French Quarter. The pool is great for your girls' ages as well, with a fun sea serpent water slide. Guests of either Port Orleans resort can use all the facilities, including the pools, at both, so you can always hop on the boat and head over to Port Orleans Riverside for a swim and a meal

That being said, your daughters would love the Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Riverside. There are fireworks over the bed, and every detail will make them feel like they are princesses. I guess the bottom line is you can't lose with either resort!
