Hi Stephanie! We never want to hear that someone needs to cancel their Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Let's hope that doesn't happen. If you do need to reschedule your visit, let's talk about what you can do with your tickets.
If you purchased standard
1-Park Per Day Theme Park Tickets in which you selected a start date for your tickets, and have the tickets linked to your profile in your
My Disney Experience account, you should be able to
change the start date of the tickets online or by using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Changes may be made up until midnight of the day prior to your ticket's first valid use date. There is no fee to change the start date of your tickets. If your new dates result in a higher-priced ticket, you will need to pay the difference. However, no refund is given when changing to lower-priced dates.
If you have not yet selected new dates for your Walt Disney World visit and your tickets expire, the cost of the unused tickets can be applied toward the purchase of new tickets. Be sure to hold on to your purchase confirmation number or email, or ticket cards if you have them; once the ticket expiration date has passed the tickets will no longer show in your My Disney Experience account. I recently experienced this same issue. I was able to bring my expired, but unused, ticket to
Guest Relations and apply the original purchase price to a new ticket.
If you purchased a different type of ticket or are having trouble modifying your tickets in the app, give the
Help Center a call. You'll be able to provide the helpful Cast Members with your personal information so they can take a look at the specific tickets you have and assist you.
Fingers crossed that your trip will happen as planned! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We are always happy to help.
