Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Susan. I'm so glad you stopped by! It's my pleasure to help you plan an out-of-this-world adventure at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
My sons are big
Star Wars fans, so experiencing all the galactic offerings at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge was a top priority during our visit a few weeks ago. With a bit of planning, we had a Jedi-worthy adventure on the planet Batuu! To make sure you have a force-filled day, you'll need to first purchase your Theme Park Tickets, link them to your My Disney Experience account, and then make your Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System.
At this time, the only attraction that offers a virtual queue is
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This immersive attraction is not to be missed! On the day of your reservation at Disney's Hollywood Studios, log in to your My Disney Experience mobile app shortly before 7:00 AM. At 7:00 AM, you'll have the opportunity to
join a boarding group by tapping on "
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue" and then following the prompts. My dear friend and fellow panelist,
Missy, has some great tips on how to join a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Be sure to check them out! Availability for boarding groups is limited. If you're not able to join a boarding group at 7:00 AM, not to worry - you can try again at 1:00 PM!
While you're visiting Black Spire Outpost, you'll also want to ride in the famous cockpit of the
Millenium Falcon on
Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run. If it were up to my oldest Resistance fighter, he'd be piloting the Millenium Falcon every day of our Walt Disney World Resort vacations! If you're assigned an early boarding group for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you'll be riding that attraction shortly after arriving at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. As soon as you're finished, head straight for the queue at
Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run. If you're assigned a later boarding group for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, make
Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run your first priority when you get to Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Other must-do experiences at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge include sipping on local beverages at Oga's Cantina, building a custom lightsaber at Savi's Workshop, and creating a customized droid at Droid Depot. If you're not able to score a reservation for one of these experiences, be sure to grab some galactic grub at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo or
Ronto Roasters. These Black Spire eateries don't require reservations! I also suggest treating yourself to a cup of blue or green frozen milk at the
Milk Stand. YUM!
I hope this was helpful, Susan. May the force be with you!
Ashley
